As the Victoria Day weekend approaches, travel experts are warning that it will be one of the busiest times for travel in and out of British Columbia. Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is expecting approximately 330,000 travelers to pass through from Friday to Monday, indicating a significant surge in domestic travel.

Amra Durakovic, Head of Communications at Flight Centre Canada, noted that domestic travel has seen a six percent increase compared to last year. The top destinations for Canadians this long weekend include B.C., Ontario, and Alberta, while international travel is also on the rise with Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica leading the way.
Question
With the anticipated surge in travel, how can potential home buyers and sellers in the region prepare for the impact on the real estate market?
Editor's Comment
As a seasoned real estate agent in Greater Vancouver, I see the busy travel weekend as a double-edged sword. While it can drive demand for rental properties, it also highlights the importance of strategic timing in real estate transactions. Buyers and sellers should be proactive and informed to navigate this bustling market effectively.
