Project to Expand West Vancouver Housing Facility for Seniors to Get a Second Look
Share

Baptist Housing is bringing a revised project proposal for the Inglewood Care Centre back to the West Vancouver council this month. If approved, the project will add 725 beds of senior housing, including long-term care and independent living options.

The updated plans propose replacing the existing 230 publicly-funded long-term care beds at Inglewood with a new 364-bed facility. The first phase of construction will keep all existing beds operational while the new facility is built.
Question
What are the implications of the proposed expansion for the current housing market and senior care availability in West Vancouver?
Editor's Comment
As a seasoned agent in Greater Vancouver, I see this project as a pivotal moment for the local real estate market. The expansion not only addresses a critical need for senior housing but also enhances the overall community infrastructure, which can positively influence property values in the long term.
